PHOTOGRAPHY SCHOLARSHIPS AT NORTHWEST COLLEGE

I would like to take a moment and invite you to apply for one of a number of Northwest College Scholarships. The photography scholarships are made available to students who show a special ability within our departmental area of Photographic Communications.

If you are interested in applying for one of the photography scholarships please submit a portfolio of five to ten images.  The portfolio may be submitted electronically or through the mail.

To submit a physical portfolio, prepare five to ten images:

Requirements: Mount images on photo mount board. If you wish to submit tear sheets from high school newspapers or other evidence that is fine, but please do not go over ten pieces. Bring the portfolio with you for your interview, or use the contact information below to get mailing information.

TO SUBMIT ELECTRONICALLY, EMAIL YOUR ENTRIES (10 images maximum) craig.satterlee@northwestcollege.edu

Requirements: Only submit one image per e-mail (if five images are submitted, then five separate e-mails must be sent); indicate only the theme in the “Subject” line—nothing else; in the message, clearly indicate your name, address, telephone number, and the title of the image; please use your full name as the name of the file (if submitting more than one image, simply add 1, 2, etc. to your name); maximum of ten images per applicant; JPEG format only; image size should be 1000 pixels on the long edge; 72 dpi, files must not exceed 1 MB.

We tend to lean toward images which demonstrate career potential in areas such as photojournalism, commercial portraiture, and advertising. All electronic images will not be returned, but destroyed after viewing the full application.
